We are seeking a Project Engineer or Surveyor / Survey Technician to work in the Southern Lakes District who is motivated, enthusiastic and capable of contributing to a wide variety of land development and infrastructure projects.

This role offers a balanced mix of field and office-based tasks, including supporting topographic, cadastral, and construction surveys, assisting with site set-outs, as-builts, and drone data capture, and working hands-on with modern surveying equipment such as GPS and robotic total stations. You’ll also use industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, 12D, and Landonline to process survey data, produce accurate plans, and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

The successful candidate must have:

  • a valid working visa
  • will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in surveying or civil engineering, or have relevant experience within the industry
  • a quick learner who enjoys working outdoors and thrives both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, adaptable mindset are essential
  • a commitment to producing high-quality, client-focused work
  • working knowledge of GNSS, robotic total stations
  • proficiency in the use of 12d, Civil3D or equivalent.
  • Experience in a variety of surveying disciplines including cadastral, engineering etc.
  • references to reinforce the above traits.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • UAV experience preferred but not essential
  • Machine control experience
  • Planning knowledge and experience
