About the role
We are looking for a capable and motivated Project Manager (or Civil Engineer) to lead and assist with the design and development of civil engineering projects, including commercial developments, roads, water systems, and other critical infrastructure.

This role is based in Gisborne, working for Civil Project Solutions.

Finding the right person is our priority, and we're open to tailoring the role to ensure the best fit. We understand flexibility is key, so this will be a given!

What you'll be doing

• Managing project risks, budgets, and milestones
• Preparing procurement documentation and administering contract delivery
• Building strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and other technical experts to ensure smooth project progression
• Monitoring and reviewing engineering designs, specifications, and construction methodologies
• Maintaining accurate project records, progress reports, and compliance documentation
• Overseeing construction activities to ensure that safety, environmental, and quality standards are achieved across the project

What we're looking for

• Most importantly, a desire to live and work in Gisborne, Tairāwhiti
• A valid work visa to work in New Zealand
• A formal tertiary qualification relevant to your area of engineering
• A solid understanding of NZS3910/3915
• The experience to hit the ground running having previously worked with NZ Civil Contracting companies
• The right attitude to build strong relationships and solve problems
• Excellent communication, financial, quality management and computer skills
• Good health, safety, and environmental management skills
• Full NZ driver’s licence
• Solid references to reinforce the above traits
